MAXEX LLC has an open position for a Counterparty Risk Specialist. We are looking for an individual that enjoys a fast paced, fun and collaborative work environment. The Counterparty Risk Specialist will be client facing and responsible for administering the application process for new Buyers and Sellers (“Participants” or “counterparties”) on MAXEX’s LoanExchange platform.  Additionally, this individual assists in the approval, annual recertification, and ongoing surveillance of Participants.


  • Facilitates and ensures distribution, receipt, execution, and completeness of credit application packages, counterparty approvals, and other binding documents that are required for eligibility qualification in advance of Participants going live on the MAXEX Exchange 

  • Monitors active Exchange Participants and administers annual recertification

  • Assists with maintaining Counterparty Risk Policies and Procedures for approval, review, monitoring, and recertification of counterparties

  • Works with Legal Department to identify and document legal risk in the counterparty credit application process and surveillance and recertification processes; helps to maintain current language in other binding documents executed prior to Participant go-live 

  • Tracks and organizes new and existing Participants’ documents in SharePoint and Salesforce

  • Owns configuration of and monitors Counterparty Risk data integrity within MAXEX’s Salesforce instance 

  • Assists with creating agenda for weekly management meeting and weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on sales pipeline and sales cycle timelines

  • Assists the Director – Counterparty Risk with various tasks, projects and initiatives related to the administration of the Counterparty Risk Group

  • Demonstrates the behaviors and competencies that create a risk management mindset in the organization.


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or prior work experience equivalent

  • Proficient in Salesforce and SharePoint with some administrator experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision (self-motivated)

  • Team player

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment

  • Ability to reconcile priorities and meet deadlines

  • Adaptable to change

  • Stamina (40+ hour work weeks possible)
