DATA ANALYTICS AND BI PRODUCT MANAGER

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

An individual with 3 or more years’ experience as a product manager for a data analytics solution or a BI solution. You have leveraged both sound business judgment and strong technical skills to prioritize development work to build a robust and scalable analysis and reporting platform. You understand the technical aspects of modern data warehouse design, you can write queries in SQL, you can guide the development of ETL, and you are an expert in using a market-leading reporting solution such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI or Looker. You have used your technical skills not just for hands-on development, but also to drive a team to build out a large-scale data warehouse, reporting and dashboard product.


Ideally you have built out solutions for both internal use and for customer users. Experience monetizing data services is preferred.


You have experience helping business stakeholders understand the power of data and analytics, and the importance of investing in good technical foundations. You exude professionalism and tact, able to adjust how you communicate to audiences of varying technical knowledge.


You have Agile experience, managing priorities, writing user stories, maintaining a backlog and working collaboratively with your scrum team to drive results. You are comfortable working in a high growth environment, juggling multiple demands and effectively driving yourself and your team to consistently and regularly deliver value to users.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as Product Manager driving a team using an agile development process

  • Develop roadmap with internal and external customers and users

  • Lead and participate in project related meetings with internal and external customers, as a leader and/or a resource 

  • Understand customer needs, business goals, and the market (experience with Value Proposition Design or similar framework is a plus)

  • Maintain industry knowledge and enhance subject matter expertise, identify trends and changes in client and competitor behaviors, and keep abreast of changing regulatory requirements. 

  • Coordinate sales, marketing, product development, implementations and client support with vendor partners and other internal service partners. 

  • Work closely with senior and executive level management. 

  • Deliver training internally to convey an understanding of the products and client usage. 

  • Develop and maintain client-facing collateral and internal documentation to support sales and commercialization processes, including the publication of internal and externally facing release notes.   

  • Comply with and enforce company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in related technical field required. 

  • 3+ years of proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required 

  • Problem solving aptitude 

  • Agile software development process experience 

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, team player required. 

  • Secondary Marketing experience in the Mortgage industry preferred 

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision 

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without forma authority 

  • Must be adaptable to change
