MAXEX is looking for a UX / UI designer with experience working on enterprise-class B2B web applications, delivered via a SaaS model.

Reporting to a Principal Product Designer and working closely with Product Management, you will be helping a new engineering team develop the next generation of MAXEX’s platform. You will need to demonstrate strong design thinking, plus an ability to get things done in a high-pressure, startup environment.

You will be adept in the fundamentals of UX and UI design practices, including: user research (understanding user profiles, tasks performed, pain points and users’ mental models), functional and workflow design (task descriptions, information architecture and flows), and UI design (wireframing and prototyping). The UI you design should be consistent to overall styling guidelines, be clear and efficient, professional and modern.

You should have a portfolio of UI designs, with examples of enterprise-class B2B web applications.

Working together with Product Management and Engineering, you must be an effective team player. They must exude professionalism and tact, able to adjust how you communicate to audiences of varying technical knowledge.

MAXEX uses Agile development methodology, and you must work with the rest of the team effectively in sprints, write and contribute to stories for the backlog, and juggle multiple demands.


  • Manage and optimize the flow of delivery through the value stream and into the respective release trains

  • Establish a cadence and lead quarterly epic planning sessions 

  • Facilitate and assist value stream prioritization of epics and tradeoff decisions

  • Publish epic plans for visibility and transparency 

  • Assist with execution and epic completion tracking 

  • Manage value stream progress and provide ongoing visibility to portfolio 

  • Facilitate periodic retrospective meetings 

  • Resolve/escalate impediments; help manage risks and dependencies across release train 

  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution within the value stream team and stakeholders

  • Drives the ART in the coordination of major feature releases and ongoing delivery of value to customers where multiple teams, release trains, or solution groups are involved in development and release by hosting RTC (Release Train Coordination) meetings as needed 

  • Encourage team collaboration and influence teams to take positive action and accountability for assigned work 

  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution alignment

  • Manage, coach, mentor, and motivate direct reports 

  • Facilitation and continuous improvement of periodic ART Reviews with organizational leaders and stakeholders to provide clarity on the expected value delivery and to gain stakeholder feedback on changes to direction the release train may need to take

  • Encourage and participate in continuous integration and communities of practice around Scaled Agile and Lean Engineering and Quality Practices 

  • Provide input to development and refinement of the scaled agile framework 

  • Clearing obstacles 

  • Establishing an environment where the team can be effective 

  • Addressing team dynamics 

  • Ensuring a good relationship between the team and product manager / owner as well as others outside the team 

  • Protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions.

  • The RTE may be called upon to lead initiatives that impact the ART but may not require work being added to team backlogs

  • Assist in the execution of product vision

  • Coordination of production support, and continuous improvement of operational workflows and communication, etc.

  • Backlog Management and ALM tool data integrity for accurate reporting. May include the collection of metrics, KPIs, investment mix reporting, and other reporting as needed by the release train or organization


  • 7+ years’ experience as Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Agile Project/Program Manager

  • 5+ years in software development experience in Fintech or Financial Services industry. 

  • Working / Hands on experience in Agile Scrum framework required. 

  • Experience as Agile coach preferred. 

  • Adept at Agile Work Management tools such as JIRA and Rally

  • Experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, XP, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), or other scaling model

  • Strong technical aptitude and experience leading teams in delivering quality software


  • Bachelor's Degree required. Bachelor's Degree in Business Management preferred. 

  • 5+ years’ experience in software development or IT operations

  • 5+ years’ experience in scrum master or project management role 

  • 5+ year of experience in Agile Scrum framework Good to have Experience / Skills 

  • Experience as Agile coach
