TRANSACTION MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATE 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

MAXEX LLC has an open position for a Transaction Management Associate. We are looking for an individual that enjoys a fast paced, fun and collaborative work environment. The Transaction Management Associate will be responsible for loan settlements, collateral, servicing transfer and lock -desk functions. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the gathering of all necessary account information and documents for new participants on MAXEX’s LoanExchange platform. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The collection of Funding Account information for all new participant accounts and confirm wire instructions for settlement.

  • Confirm receipt of pay histories to verify payment status and confirm loan balances for settlement.

  • Ensure collateral documents are shipped to investor custodians and follow up as necessary to ensure timely settlements.

  • Creation and distribution of post settlement and servicing transfer disclosures verify data for accuracy and maintain timely transmission to sub-servicers.

  • Research and respond to any data and transfer questions reported by sub-servicers, sellers and investors as necessary.

  • One day a week and as called upon support lock desk by processing lock requests and lock confirmations, additionally process all change requests, reprice requests and extension requests in accordance with the MAXEX sellers guide and trading platform.

  • Provide support to loan originator and Secondary Market investors for pricing inquires, post lock questions/inquires.

  • Special projects as necessary. 

  • Complete other duties as required, including, but not limited to:

    • Ability to multi-task and offer help outside of day-to-day job duties;

    • Interrelating with fellow employees and/or customers as needed to get the job done;

    • Treating fellow employees and / or customers with respect;

    • Ability to manage the stress of the position (for example, deadline pressures, problem resolution); and

    • Flexibility to work late coverage to support lock desk and loan settlements, 10AM-7PM EST, schedule to be determined.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • College degree preferred

  • 3 to 5 years mortgage industry experience required

  • 2 years mortgage due diligence or closed loan mortgage experience preferred

  • Client relationship experience preferred

  • 1 year of mortgage secondary market or servicing experience preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, team player

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision (self-motivated)

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment

  • Ability to reconcile priorities and meet deadlines

  • Adaptable to change

  • Stamina (40+ hour work weeks possible)
